Your Eyes Tell (2020) film storyline :

 This film tells the story of a part-time worker named Rui Shinozaki (Ryusei Yokohama). Rui did a lot of work to survive. He works to replace the previous worker, an old and retired grandfather. After a few days of work, one day a beautiful girl came in, gave him food and asked him to watch dramas on TV. Rui realized that this girl was blind. Her name is Akari Kashiwagi (Yuriko Yoshitaka), she often comes to the guard room when she is still being looked after by her retired grandfather to watch dramas together. At first, Akari didn't realize that the old man had been replaced by Rui. When he realized that the grandfather had left, he thought of Rui as a middle-aged man because he thought this job was only for those who were older.



Over time, Rui couldn't cover it all up. Due to an incident, Rui reveals his true identity. After clearing the misunderstanding, Akari becomes friends with Rui and often visits his guard room to watch dramas. The two of them grew closer and Rui helped the blind Akari a lot.

Akari has a job as a call center. One day, her boss who has an interest in her comes to Akari's house and tries to rape her. Rui who happened to visit managed to save Akari and teach Akari's boss a lesson. Unlike what he imagined, Akari was actually angry with Rui. Akari thinks Rui has made her lose her job, because for her blind finding work is so difficult. Their relationship was strained.

After not seeing each other for a long time, Akari decides to leave her job and meet Rui. Akari and Rui decide to live together, Akari realizes her feelings for Rui and Rui wants to protect Akari.

Rui himself decided to stop working as a parking guard and return to his old job as a martial art fighter. Previously he was a great and professional fighter, but he became a debt collector in order to earn more. An incident that takes a person's life makes him stop being a debt collector and lives in regret and has no purpose in life until he meets Akari.


One day a secret is revealed that Rui turned out to be one of the causes of Akari's blindness. Feeling responsible, Rui decides to make more money for Akari's eye surgery. Rui is offered to join an illegal fight for a large fee. However, the stakes are that he will not be able to return with Akari. And, he prefers to save Akari.

Akari recovered, he managed to become a successful pottery craftsman. In contrast to his fate with Rui who was seriously injured and could not live his life properly. Akari had no memory of Rui's face, but she could feel what Rui's appearance was like. They accidentally meet at the hospital when Akari is on a volunteer program, while Rui is a patient there. When Akari tried to massage Rui's back, she seemed to know this body. However, Rui seemed to divert Akari's mind so that Akari wouldn't be aware of her existence.


When Rui was able to get out of the hospital, he visited Akari's gallery and found an item full of memories between the two of them. Unexpectedly she burst into tears, and the gallery keeper saw her and reported it to Akari. Akari realized it was Rui.
