In a socio-cultural context, The Warriors gang features multi-racial members such as Cleon, an Afro-America, Swan and Ajax, who are white, or Rembrandt, a Latino (Mexican-American). Likewise with the gangs, there are special members of white, black, Latino and even Asian.
Each actor/actress brings their character to life brilliantly and accentuates their own uniqueness, like Cleon, an authoritative and formidable leader.
Swan who doesn't talk much but is brave, Ajax who likes to fight, pretentious but not smart like Cochise, and Cowboy who is calm, friendly and a bit gloomy.
While Fox is the smartest and always curious, it is different with Rembrandt as the youngest member and always on the alert, spraying the letter "W" as a gang marker in various locations.
Snow is similar to Rembrandt, only smarter as a fighter. And Vermin, who is flamboyant and relaxed, but less intelligent.
Nothing beats the charisma of a Cyrus, who managed to charm hundreds of New York city gangs, in a big gathering at the beginning of the story. The sentences of his speech were blaring, one of which was the quotes listed at the beginning of this article.
The Riffs gang looks terrible with so many troops, plus the mysterious Masai character, in place of Cyrus.
The antagonist named Luther with a voice like that of a woman, is fitting to be labeled as a delinquent and a scoundrel, reflected in his evil nature and attitude.
Do not forget the character Mercy, played by Deborah Van Valkenburgh, as a woman who is bored with a life that does not have anything meaningful, so she challenges The Warriors as well as herself to adventure to get new sensations.
Many other gangs are introduced in this film, with different characteristics such as the Riffs (styled hip-hop and rap), Rogues (styled bikers without motorbikes, similar to S&M), Turnbull AC's (styled fascism), Orphans (styled bums), Lizzies ( gang of girls), Punks (with roller skates), Boppers (looking dapper), Hi-Hats (like pantomime) and so on.In a socio-cultural context, The Warriors gang features multi-racial members such as Cleon, an Afro-America, Swan and Ajax, who are white, or Rembrandt, a Latino (Mexican-American). The eye-catching and iconic, of course, the Baseball Furies gang, wearing baseball jerseys, their faces also in make-up in the style of the rock band KISS. With their cynical grins, adding to the impression of being mysterious and scary at the same time.
Like a western movie in the modern world, The Warriors movie is synonymous with fighting between groups or street gangs, as if the world belongs to them through various scenes that take place, visualized very dynamically, aesthetically, and elegantly.
Hill's style in working on a similar film, was repeated several years later in the film Streets of Fire (1984).
Taking the camera angle was so impressive, as when the Warriors gang was walking in an area, the Orphans gang appeared one by one from behind the roof of the building.
Or when The Warriors exit the train station, suddenly confronted by the Baseball Furies gang who are in the middle of a deserted highway, in a circle, surrounding them. Until finally the Furies chased them into a park, then a fight began.
Or when The Warriors are at the train station, the Punks gang appears following them from a distance.

The coolest scene is when The Warriors, exhausted and desperate, walk hand in hand and are followed by a car driven by Rogues towards the climax towards the end of the story accompanied by the song In the City.
A number of dramatic fight scenes are so stunning because of the choreography that is designed, it seems to combine the style of a musical film with the reality of brutal action, without the need for bloody violence, really entertaining. One of his memorable actions was a fight with the Punks gang in the train station toilet!
The score, composed by Barry De Vorzon, seems to use a combination of disco and electronic music.
Uniquely, the soundtrack of this film also accompanies certain scenes, through the spotlight of a Radio DJ who sends messages from the Riffs gang to The Warriors, through several songs with rock, blues, jazz, soul and pop genres.
The Warriors is an iconic cult classic film, not only about the actions of street gangs, but how they react to evil slander, through the bonds of brotherly solidarity in conflict and division, as well as questioning the existence and proof of identity in their community groups that are under threat.
